ABOUT JAKAR GARDENS
Jakar Gardens is family owned and operated by Maria and Terry, proud locals of South Canterbury who have lived in the area for most of their lives. As full-time working parents to two daughters and a handful of furry friends, they cherish every opportunity to escape to their beloved garden. For Maria, gardening has been a source of joy and creativity, and she has dedicated her time to crafting unique and stunning corners throughout the garden.
Inspired by the private oasis they have created, Maria and Terry are thrilled to open their doors and share Jakar Gardens with the community. The name Jakar, which pays tribute to their cherished black labs, Jake and Karma, greets visitors at the entrance. Their portraits serve as a heartfelt reminder of the love and emotion that surrounds the Gardens.
